Moscow Final Day

Having woken to find my tongue super-glued to the roof of my mouth I started the process of rehydrating. Vlad was looking a little ill so we didn't give him too much stick.

We were boked in for a guided tour of the Kremlin in the morning This was very interesting, there is a square of cathedrals within the walls. There is also a huge cannon that was neveractually fired but would be displayed on the walls to show the enemy the strength of their artillery.

There is also a massive bell that was so big it could not be lifted from the foundry when it was made and so it stayed there for about 200 years.

The best part though is the Armery where all sorts of the Tsars things are displayed, dresses, coaches, armour, diplomatic gifts from al over Europe and best of all a collection of Faberge eggs, one of these contains a tiny clockwork gold and silver Trans Siberian Train. Well worth seeing.

In the afternoon we headed over to the All Russian Exhibition Centre. This is a large park with monuments to the workers and fountains to show off the success of the Soviet economic system. Now irronically the huge hanger at the end of the park that used to house the aeronatical musem is used as a makeshift market place selling cheap imported electrical goods.

That night we boarded the train for the largest section of the train, four nights and three days later we would arive in Irkustk.
