After spending a few days in Broome relaxing we flew over to Darwin, had to miss the Bungle Bungles as this was the wet season so many roads were closed, next time though.
Spent a few days in Darwin, nice city, went out to a locals craft shop and bought a didgy, then we took a trip over 9 days that took us to Litchfield and Kakadu national parks, Katherine gorge, down through Tennent Creek to Alice springs and then out to Ularu, The Olgas and Kings Canyon. This was all pretty hectic early rises every day.
We then took a crazy three day bus trip to Cairns, mainly did this instead of a flight as it was sold as visiting a real aboriginal settlement. This turned out to basically be a toilet stop in the town and that was it, just 12 hour days driving for three days otherwise.
